Awaken Your Inner Wild Child

There's a part of us that will always be the child within. The spirit of us that is doing exactly what we want, exactly when we want to. This part of us knows no rules, stays in the present and truly has fun living this life.

Somehow, as we develop responsibilities and face the "rules" that society puts upon us and we adopt as our own, we stop listening to this childish innocence that really just wants to play. When it comes down to it,

What's wrong with playing as adults?

I used this term "wild" on purpose. Wild refers to something not domesticated, not subject to restraint and indicative of strong nature, passion and emotion. After chatting with several amazing friends about this topic, I am realizing more and more the healing benefits of activating our inner wild child. I'm not saying go do something illegal, but I am saying do something that makes you feel FREE! Something that is inline with your nature, passion and emotion.

Let your inner child speak to you.

Simply quiet your mind and talk with the spirit of that child. What is he/she craving right now? What would he/she be doing?

Make the time to embrace the requests of the wild child within.

Maybe after work, on your lunch break or after dinner, you choose to let the child in you OUT and exposed to the world.

Go do it!

Seriously follow through with the impulse. It doesn't have to be anything grand, most things children enjoy most are not. Don't you remember being just as fascinated by playing with pots and pans as toys?

Here are my favorite ways to AWAKEN MY INNER CHILD:

  • blow bubbles during lunch
  • light sparklers at dark
  • pick flowers and gift them to someone
  • make castles in the sand
  • doodle anytime, anywhere
  • play games - board games, card games, outdoor tag games
  • chase your partner (seriously, P and I do this all the time, it usually ends in major hugs and laughter)
  • color, paint, create art - the end product doesn't matter, but the fun of creation sure does
  • dance, anywhere, anytime
  • play, really play with your pets, be fascinated
  • look for fireflies
  • play your favorite song and sing it at the top of your lungs
  • stomp in puddles when the rain falls
  • make shadow puppets
  • play in the snow

I'd love to hear the ways you awaken your inner wild child!

Stomping in the snow with a heart shaped balloon is exactly what my inner wild child was begging me for on this cold winter day, so I embraced it!

There were some very specific lessons I learned in my attendance to the Abraham Hicks workshop, as I mentioned in my first blog. The second lesson I would like to share is about co-creating.

I was always the type of person that loved the company of others and being in relationships, as I got older I sought more and more vulnerability and connection that was far beyond the physical world. However, for much of my adult life, I held back in relationships as I feared for losing who I was. I was confused by the sensitivity I felt to energy and when I communicated this to partners, it often confused them. So I hid.

Secretly, my whole life, I've desired to have a partner to really experience life with, create with, share with, give and receive, yet still maintain our own uniqueness. The universe responded very abruptly to my requests. Just over a year ago, I met Piotrek and despite some initial resistance to jumping into something that felt so good, I jumped anyway, knowing the value in experiencing something so good.

Piotrek and I made a choice to attend the workshop together. We were both drawn to the Law of Attraction long before we met each other and were fascinated by the thought of hearing the wisdom of Abraham. When Ester via Abraham began talking about the process of co-creation, I had tears in my eyes.

Co-creating the life Piotrek and I share has really been delightful. It has taken us some time to weed through out own resistance to nurture the beautiful parts of us that want to grow and evolve. Occasionally, these vines of resistance still present themselves, but we cut them when we are ready. We have chose to live this life as a co-creating unit. We are powerful manifesters on our own, but together, our vision is more easily brought to life.

We've found ways that work for each of us to find balance and harmony within ourselves, some are shared, like our morning meditation and stretching and some are more individual (my writing, his composition). When we have this alignment within ourselves, our connection and relation to each other is natural and easy. Together, we have found that each owning our own businesses, we are much stronger developing them as a co-creation and its actually really fun! Personally, we are supporting each other through it all. We vibrate at the highest frequency possible together. From here it seems anything is possible and IT IS

The Abraham Experience

Today something splendid happened. I attended my first Abraham Hicks workshop. I have been using the Law of Attraction for many years to create my desires and I have been amazed and fascinated by my experience as well as the teachings of Abraham through Ester. Today, in the presence of such high vibrational energy, I could feel Source energy radiating through each of us and out into the magnificent world we live in.

Attending this workshop was one of the most magnificent demonstrations of my increased alignment with my own self. About a month ago, I decided it was time to "just have a look" on the Abraham Hicks website and see if maybe there was a workshop close  by. It turns out there was one that I discovered in October of this year.

Eagerly I scampered off to my dear partner, Piotrek and asked if he'd be interested in attending the workshop together. As expected, he replied, "Of course, but why are we talking about it now, its months away."

Let the manifestation begin, while I was proud of my pre-commitment to attending the workshop in October, I really wanted to experience Abraham on a deeper level sooner. So I began to refer back to my books and videos.

A week before today, I opened my daily email from Abraham and there it was. Ester will be in Boston this weekend channeling the wisdom of Abraham! I joyously skipped around the house beckoning Piotrek and told him the news. The manifestation came from a place of pure desire at exactly the right time in my life.

Here's the "ah ha" moment. At the workshop I realized this is one of the first times in my life that I have said yes to something I really wanted to experience for my personal development via someone I find truly inspirational and life changing. I said yes to experience something profoundly spiritual, something that was all about me and it felt new and great.

In the past, I've manifested scenarios just as I had with this Abraham workshop but there's always been a reason I've found to say NO. The resistance was so great that I pushed away exactly what I manifested, exactly the situation I wanted to be in and exactly the humans I wanted to be present with. The opportunities to experience these beings in the forms I sought disappeared as the humans I was (and still am) so inspired with have left their physical form.

I have found that as I have spent more and more time manifesting and creating thoughtfully and intentionally that I am experiencing the results I seek on a deeper level and the opportunity to savor them more wholly is delightful.

The magnitude of saying YES to what I attracted via my desires was one of the most empowering experiences I have ever known.
