The Energy of Snow

Last night as we returned home in the late evening, the snow began to fall and in the evening light, it glittered so brilliantly. It was as if our path was made up of twinkling stars! Pure magic! And what a lovely message about the the path we take!

This morning, as anticipated, we had 6 inches of snow on waking and the snow still falls. As I peered out the windows, I couldn't get over the beauty of the snow. I excitedly began to settle into the idea of having a snow day at home with my love and our little kitty. As I organized my day and went through the rescheduling of clients, I settled in to the idea of a whole day in the silence, peace, beauty and breath that the snow offers.

I sunk into meditation and received major energetic clarity on why we love snow days, even as adults. A snow day represents far more than simply a day off. They come when we do collectively need days off from school or work or what have you, but we LOVE them and we're happy during snow days because they force us to slow down and visually be immersed in the power of nature.

Snow brings us into that cocoon state, we get cozy with our tea, our favorite book, a project or our kiddos and hunker down. At some point, on our own agenda when we are ready to explore the world, we don snow pants, jackets, hats, gloves, boots, etc and frolic into the magical white powder in our own way and in our desired time.

The schedule of the day becomes less of a priority and existing in the present moment becomes our reality. As I stayed with the space in my meditation, I was again reminded of the importance of the SPACE BETWEEN. The space between all that we're doing. The space in which we are consciously being. This is the space of healing. This is the space of expanding.

Big gratitude for the messages and energy of snow!

Feel free to share in the comments what the energy of snow means to you!
