Presence

presence healing krystal couture

This topic continues to come up time and again in my own life, family, friends and clients. I was recently inspired by Abraham Hicks when they shared:

The past is the past and whatever it was that's okay!

We have to find a way to move past the past and into the present now, because no matter how hard we try, we simply cannot rewrite, erase or destroy the past. We experienced whatever we experienced for whatever reason we experienced it.

And now it's over, we are experiencing something else!

Or at least we could be, because that situation, series of situations, whatever they were ended. Continuing to dwell upon them is only going to feed us with more and more and more of the feelings that we had then. Maybe we've already decided we didn't like those feelings, why would we want to go back to feeling them again if we don't have to?

Are you ready to live in the present?

The key is truly being okay with saying the past is the past. Maybe it sucked, maybe it was unimaginably awful, but today, right now, you are here and there is a tremendous opportunity for you to live in the present.

Here are some techniques that you can implement into your life to release the past.

1. Start with acknowledging your feelings toward the past. Acknowledge those parts that you didn't find pleasing. And remind yourself that it's okay that you didn't like this situation. But its time to move forward.

2. Realize and remind yourself over and over again, that you are in the HERE and NOW. The powerful present moment is all you have to deal with. (remember step one: you already told yourself whatever the past was, it was and that's okay)

3. Each day, have a look around at your experience and express gratitude and appreciation for anything that pleases you. Find the things that are satisfying, pleasing, fill you with joy, make you smile, laugh and just evoke that natural happiness.

4. Do more and more of those things that feel great to you!

The more time we spend in the now CELEBRATING LIFE, the more we have to celebrate.
