Optimal health, well-being, and consciousness - that's what we are all seeking, right? We want to feel good in every facet of our lives, yet so often, we block ourselves from achieving the health we desire. It isn't purely because we splurge on ice cream, skip spin class, or any other physical manifestation of disappointment with our health we can find. It comes from our consciousness.

Here's a list of five major blocks you may be creating within yourself, preventing you from achieving optimal health, well-being, and consciousness: 

You're STRESSED to the max

When your body is in a continuous state of stress, your organ systems are also operating in a state of stress. This means your body is in the "fight or flight" reactive state for a prolonged period of time. In this state, your central nervous system is on high alert, and many of your non-essential for survival organ systems go quiet. Also, in this state, the more active your brain, the less opportunity for normal organ function, causing a decreased capacity for your body to achieve a state of well being. When faced with being over-stressed, you need to get yourself into a state of repair, restoration, and rejuvenation. 

You're NOT #1 in your life

We all have families, pets, jobs, aging parents, friends, co-workers, etc. But if these people are taking priority in your life over your own health, how can you expect to feel good, inside and out? It's a well-known fact we can all only offer what have, within. When we prioritize ourselves, we have much more to share! 

I've worked with a lot of young mothers who have struggled with giving themselves five minutes a day. Just five minutes dedicated to no one but themselves. Once they were able to achieve this personal time, they found nourishment and balance, and wanted more! No one says we came into this life to be on high-speed, doing everything for everyone else, and missing the experience of being ourselves with people we love and who love us, so much! For optimal health, take the time to put yourself first. 

You're missing the PRESENT MOMENT

Life is happening, right here, right now. Every time your mind drifts to thoughts of work projects, what to cook for dinner, or thinking about how you wish things could be different, you're missing the present moment.

Each, and every moment is a unique opportunity for you to interact with this magnificent thing called life. When factoring in family and friends to the present moment, its a gift to be in an energy exchange of any kind with another human being. Why would you ever want to miss that? Trust me, from someone who is a master of multi-tasking, wasting the time you have in the present doesn't get you any closer to completing the to do list. Living in the present will give you the appreciation of life you need for a higher sense of well-being. 

You're out of ALIGNMENT with your Soul's Purpose

If you've identified your soul's purpose and you have a clear understanding of why you are on this planet, experiencing this life, you must find a way to be in alignment with doing so. Your being knows you better than anyone else. It knows your passions, desires, abilities, and magic! It isn't going to steer you wrong. It doesn't have to be all or nothing, but find a way to bring your purpose into your life.

You think you're ALONE

It's very easy for humans to feel isolated and confused by this life, and the whirlwind happening around us. You may think no one understands you, or wants to listen to you. This may cause you to separate yourself from those who do care and understand you, because you don't want to inconvenience them.

Let me tell you, you are not an inconvenience. You occupy this space as a human, and have a voice and a message that is vital to share. And, there's a tribe just waiting to welcome you in with open arms, facing the same challenges, and wanting to support you with big, big love! You are not alone.
